American Douglas Metals, Inc. was established
in 1976 by Dwight Hanny and Stephen Powers in Buffalo, New
York. They began offering aluminum products to companies large
and small that were neglected by the diminishing distribution
markets in the Western New York area. In 1977 our second location
was opened in Orlando, Florida offering the same quality aluminum
products and expertise to the Florida marketplace.
In 1987 a full line of carbon steel sheet and
carbon steel coil were added to our product mix. In 1993 we
doubled the size of our Orlando facility and added equipment
to better service our customers. In 1994 we opened our third
location in Atlanta, Georgia to help link the areas between
Buffalo and Orlando.
In 2001 we moved our Atlanta operation to a
new facility just northwest of Atlanta in Acworth, Georgia
increasing our capabilities and allowing us to, yet again,
better service our customers. Also, in 2001 after supplying
the window and door industry with aluminum sheet, aluminum
extrusion, and steel sheet, we also began a partnership with
an Italian window and door hardware manufacturer, Savio, to
begin offering the highest-quality, longest-lasting window
and door hardware available to the U.S. fenestration market.
Today, American Douglas Metals is still family-owned
and operated by Chairman Dwight Hanny, his son-in-law, Chief
Executive Officer, Ed Raimonde, and President and Chief Operating
Officer, Stephen Powers. American Douglas Metals currently
has sales offices, metal processing facilities and metal warehousing
facilities in more than 11 cities throughout the East Coast
and Canada. Let our honesty, integrity and unsurpassed experience
work for you.
